for my money, i'd go with carbons instead of alums - just more durable, and feature a smaller diameter to help with the long marks. if you go with the cheaper xx75 alums, they won't be as tough as the stronger and more expensive x7 alums. carbons will trump the x7's for knock-about strength. i'd opt for beman bohwunters, and 500 spine should work out well for a good range of arrow lengths and holding weights. use the inserts and try out different point weights. tape on some mylar vanes and yer good to go.
