I've been braving the bitter cold here as well as shooting the outdoor range quite a bit. On the real cold days it gets in the 50's
I think it might of even hit the 40's a few days. And yes, I am just kidding since it never really gets cold here.
When it is inopportune to for me to shoot outside, I like doing longdraw and extended draw shots in the house into my Morrell target. I have a formaster and therabands and tubing that I rarely use, when I do, I use them more for stretching and range of motion exercises.
I recall more than a few conversations with the late Rich Carella, the inventor of the formaster. The formaster is cool because it gives you feedback when you are weak in your shot and followthrough. Some coaches warn about its shortcomings which you should be aware of if you train with it. Rich had a neat suggestion with the formaster, you can set it up and shoot your 70m sight setting indoors since the arrow didn't have near the trajectory with the formaster in use. I never tried it though.
Us high anchor folks have a disadvantage when using a formaster since it whacks you pretty hard against the face when you shoot a good shot if you set it up like they say to in the directions. The attachment point must be further down the string to allow the tubing not to smack you upon release.
