Are the Hexshafts legal in longbow rules? Just wondering as I thought I'd try a few out sometime.

I dont shoot them myself but I cant see any reason for anyone to complain about hex shafts, they are wood.
I sure if you look hard enough in the IFAA you will find someone to protest them.

Considering the state of most org longbow rules, a fair question - no question that you'd need to check with the org folks, to be sure. IMO, composite wood shafts that are laminated of wood should be perfectly legal - but who can say these dayze what the org rules nazi's are thinking?n
I will say that I've completely switched over to hex pines, they're head and shoulders better that POC's or any other self or flat laminated shafting. The spine rating is very uniform over the shaft circumference so there's no need for a spine meter, they stay a bit straighter and are a bit more durable, and they're the same price as any other premium arrow shafting. I get mine from Bob Burton over at Whipering Wind Arrows - he sends out extremely uniform (weight and spine) matched shafts. In all honesty, at $24/doz they're a trad bargain.
