When serving a loop, pinch the string with thumb and forefinger on either side of the serving area and move the string with both hands, in a circular motion to allow the serving jig to do its thing. Since I use a one arm endless jig, I can straighten out most - if not all - twists when moving the next end over to the loop serving arm posts.

ahha -- I had thought of that method as a 'speed thing' -- a way to serve a string quickly -- but it sounds like it isn't about speed at all -- it is about being able to hold the string tightly and since you only have two hands, you HAVE to twirl it.
