Rjc Thanks for the update
Looks like the home grown talent have taken off the gloves. Great to see!n
Still it is only day one. Martin is going to be a tough nut to crack.
lets not forget Larry and his slow start
All in all, very intresting.

Thanks for posting this. I've been scanning ESPN 3 all day for this--well maybe not, but I am interested even if ESPN isn't...

Fantastic new Field World Record by Daryl Reeks. Had the pleasure to watch his outstanding shooting. A 5x from 80 yards - and this is for Redbow - he only nearly managed to clean the bunnies...

Congratulations, Martin.
I think perhaps we should also give you some credit for Daryl Reeks' world record -- he shot it immediately after your fine animal round where you momentarily took first place from him, didn't he?

Thanks for the congratulations - butArc - the fame for the new world record belongs to him!
To proof that he is a real gentleman, he did not lift it beyound the magic 400 (although after 14 targets he was on 205!!) so we have still a goal left to acchieve!n Now for the equipment junkies - he proofed that it takes the man and not so much the bow - his bow is about 15 - 20 years old (even the guy who build it is not sure about that) is a very typical D-shape bow and he is drawing about 50 lbs.
Guess that Larry - once he is at home - will provide us with a more detailed analysis.
As a matter of fact - Daryl got the first place back from Dave - another Australian - who did a brilliant animal round. After the animal round on wednesday they swapped the places 1 and 3 only to change back on Thursday.
I have to point out to you guys that you really missed an outstanding turnament with great archery. To all the Aussies reading here: well done ! You have been a great host.

Congratulations Martin good shooting, also to your wife, looks like she put up some good scores there
I was looking at the pics of the course, were all the targets on the ground or did they replace the butts for the worlds?

Targets where at the same butts as shown - in fact if you want to make some critisism this would be the only thing that comes to my mind. But since there is no standard for target butts it is always a sort of surprise.
Ulrike scored 3 new world records for female recurve bowhunter - she shot above 400 both in field and in hunter.
