Hypothetically, let's say I am not an expert arrow maker -- who would I talk with to get a dozen fine wooden arrows made up?

Try Paul Jalon at Elite Arrows (www.elitearrows.com). Many of the top IBO shooters use his cedars. But wait 'til next week because this weekend he's at Denton Hill.

Thanks for the suggestions. Rob, I remembered your recommendation from an earlier posting, and gave Bob a call -- right now, he is recovering from a broken elbow, so his arrow making is temporarily on hold.

In any case, it looks like wooden arrows require more advance planning than I gave them -- can't just take the components off the shelf and slap them together

Without a question of doubt to me, woodies are the most difficult arras to both build and maintain.
