Hi All
I just wanted to let you all know about a bow that I think is a tremendous value for the money
The Quinn Comet XL-3D is a metal risered bow that is sweet shooting and very forgiving. And it costs about $250!n I found out about this bow at tradtalk.com in the "Members Lounge" category. If you join tradtalk.com (free) you can go into the members lounge and sign up to have the bow mailed to you. Your only requirement is to post your opinion and ship the bow to the next person on the list.
I wanted to try a bow with a metal riser and this exceeded my expectations. With my 31"+ draw this 42lb bow was point on at 60 yards! At the 80 yard field shot, I was able to maintain my high anchor. The bow has an elevated rest, so all I did was allow the shelf to bisect the bullseye and release! With my old 45lb Bear Alaskan, I had to have the knuckle of the ring finger of my bowhand level with the bullseye and "lookthrough my hand" , e.g. pray, in order to hit the 80 yard target! Here I was actually aiming!n
A friend who hunts with a 45lb Hoyt Gamemaster tried the Quinn and thought it was faster than his bow!n
I hope I'm not out of line discussing metal riser on this board, it's just that this line of bows seems to have white collar performance at a blue collar price.
