What is the scoring format the Ca State field shoot? Is it 14 field, 14 hunter & 14 animal targets? And also going by the CBH rules in the longbow class it says wood arrows must be used, is that rule strictly enforced? At many club shoots that are under CBH rule, they don't really care what the few longbow shooters use. Thanks...Kenny.

You've got it right. This is the first year of 14 each in a single day, and at multiple locations and dates. Formerly it was a two day event at a single location. Participation was up by 50% so I guess we will stay with the new format.
Yes, wooden arrows are required in the longbow class at about all the events, at least in central and northern California. Most of us like it that way. You will be welcome with any arrows but your scores won't count in competition. Come on on out anyway. - lbg

Thsnks LBG, I like to shoot cedar thru my Bamboo/Ipe ELB, but haven't used it in any kind of compitition yet. Then again I am still kinda working on the bow. I also have a Martin Vision but I mostly shoot my recurves. Kenny.
