I have decided to shoot my longbow with split fingers, working on a tab, Cavalier Elite, replaced the metal spacer with a plastic one from a Fab tab. What do other like?

I prefer a simple cordovan tab. I usually add a layer of leather with some "goop" glue, and I include a bit of overlap between the fingers to act as a buffer between fingers and arrow nock. I never benefited from a spacer...when I curl my index finger, it angles around the spacer, so it doesn't even work.

i've been making my own tabs for so long i dunno when i started - probably in the 60's. i use simple latigo leather, relatively thin at around 4-6oz weight, that's been "chromed" real smooth on one side. no backing or spacers needed, just a cut out piece of leather. i use this with longbows ranging from 48# to 55# and although my hand/finger skin is relatively naturally soft, i never have finger issues with my tabs.
