I prefer using planks of polyethyene (PE) foam, 2 to 4 pound density, 2 to 4 inches thick - and typically can be had 4' x 9'. This stuff will stop most any arrow, including broadheads, and lasts quite a while. Arrows shot into PE butts can pick up some of the plastic "dust", sticks to the shaft from static friction as the shaft enters the butt. Easily wiped off. I love this kinda butt. Fairly cheap. Look up packaging vendors in your yellow pages.

------------------
Rob DiStefano

Straw bales. The smell good, work good and when they wear out I can recycle them as mulch for my garden. Living in ag country they are easy to get and cheap!!!!
"Earth Friendly Ed"
------------------
Ed Blankinship
