Art, the IFFA has a shoot in the United States every year It is held in Florida, The North American Field Championships. The IFFA World Bowhunter championships were shot in Illinois in 2000n As for 95% of American bowyers been affected by the new IFFA rules, I would have to say lets not forget our German Friends who all seem to shoot one very expensive German bow that under current rules would be illegal Also I did notice at my last European outing that most longbows of European origin also would have failed the limb tip rule. Ther is no anti American Bowyers conspriecy been propagated by the IFFA |

Not being involved in competition I have never really thought of bow design other than do I like it and does it suit me. I really think you have a row that is going to need a lot of hoeing in proposing rule modifications or changes. It seems as the longbow evolves, so will the sport. Either ya gots to modify the rules or create a new organisation or division. No way in the world you can please all the people and it seems that the competitors are the ones who define by their choices of bow what is the longbow of today. I own 3 longbows. 2 are manufactured, one is a bow I made. They are all quite different from each other. Just ramblin'n String |

Redbow....you sure needn't worry about me. I'm sure you have all you need on your own plate. Itn would be nice to give you a personal response, but you have your reasons for not listing your emial address....so. Nuff said. I have basically decided to shoot in the Traditional Recurve class....NFAA and IFAA. Like most traditonal shooters in this class I will shoot a 25' Machined Riser with tunable limb pockets, Samick new Master carbon limbs, micro adjustable plugger button, W&W magnetic rest, strung nicely with a custom DiStefano 12 strand Dyan 97 string....shooting 283gr CT McKinney's(skinnies)at 218fps. n Art |
