There are no viable rules changes. It's still IFAA status quo, which excludes most of the world's longbow archers.

Stealth hybrid r/d longbows are still allowed. This is itself is unfair obfuscation to the max and forces serious contenders to spend big dollars with a select few bowyers.
The "relaxing" of the braced limb curve REINFORCES the use of stealth r/d longbows - most of them have that flat spot, and that has been an issue at IFAA tourney bow inspections ... well, it's no longer an issue.

As biased as it was, at least Larry's air gap limb rule would have significantly increased the likelihood of IFAA participation, but NOT these wacky proposed rules. All yer doing is gaining greater acceptance for stealth longbows. Show me otherwise.

Yes, one answer to my "why is a stealth r/d Edge IFAA legal and a Thunderstick III illegal" question is aesthetics.
If this is true, then the IFAA holds visual longbow aesthetics more important than inherent longbow design technical advantages.
How illogical and unfair is this?n
If the IFAA should be condsidered the "Professional Golf Association of longbow target archery", is this the kinda gear rules logic the PGA would endorse?

I'm having trouble understanding how someone who has never competed and may never compete in an IFAA event is so passionate about its rules. You have some good points about bringing forward more participation by opening up the rules to include more shooters, I agree with that. Since your a knight on a white charger with a cause, why not carry the gauntlet for all the IFAA classes that have problems?n
As far as Bowhunter Recurve class having nothing to do with anything I think your wrong. Its very parallel to your argument about the stealth high performance longbows being allowed. Well guess what if you shoot anything but a stripped down FITA bow in Bowhunter Recurve your out gunned and you might as well consider the tournament a social event.
Yes, I do own one of those stealth R/D longbows that strings up to a "D" to shoot. The reason why a regular R/D longbow can't be shot beside my bow is the rules say you can't. Other than that I don't have a problem with it. Even if the rules change I'm still going to shoot that same bow.
Just to let you know I have competed in three IFAA events, but not in the longbow class and have metalled gold, silver, and bronze. The decision to shoot longbow class or not in December is still undecided on my part as of yet. With that said I find no problem with having to comply with the rules of the class I am shooting whether I totally agree with them or not.
