Does anyone have any tips for removing feather fletchings from wooden shafts :confused: ? i`ve tried using a fletching stripping tool but it tends to dig in the wood . Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Use a very sharp knife or razor, go slow & be careful not to cut into the wood, then hand-sand the remains of the quill/glue off the shaft. Not a fun job for sure, & quite tedious, but it can be done successfully even w/dipped/crested shafting. Hope this helps.

Phil, would isopropyl alcohol do the job as well? I've used it as a cleaning agent on aluminum and carbon shafts and points, but I've never used denatured alcohol.
