Unless you are interested in self or backed longbows (i.e. - ELB or English longbow), there are essentially 2 types of glass/wood composite American hybrid flat longbows - those with a bit of limb reflex (i.e. - "Howard Hill style") and those with varying amounts of aggressive limb/riser reflex/deflex. The principle difference between the two types is the typically smoother after-release ("hand shock") of the reflex/deflex longbows. IMO, better shooting hybrid longbows are in the 66" to 70" length range.
The best/cheapest limb reflex longbow I've ever found is the AIM Internature 68" Viper, and I wrote a review of it for Archery Focus Magazine. FS Discount Archery has it for $160 - the Viper is typically lower in actual draw weight than labeled, so a 40# Viper is about 37#. I have one that scales 38# @ 28", it's a fine shooter, and I love the classic "D" braced limb shape.
