I just shared one of my latest findings with the 'local archery god' and he laughed, saying, "Of course! Haven't you noticed that great archers always make this adjustment when shooting a variety of distances..."n
And I had to say, "No, I almost never have the chance to see archers, great or otherwise, live or taped, shoot a variety of distances".
I learn the most from contrasting -- one archer to another, or the same archer shooting under various conditions -- what is always the same, and what changes.
With Field Archery, you are limited to the foursome you shoot with; indoors, you don't see the adjustments for different yardages.
So I wonder about tapes. Are there some great ones out there? Ones that show great archers shooting entire shots, from predraw to release, at various distances?
