Rob. After reading reports on the Internature Viper I ordered one. Received it day before yesterday and love it. I'd never shot a longbow before. The string I received with it is a Dacron 16 string. Taking it out of the package it measured 62.5 to 63 in fairly loose measuring with tape. After attaching the string I got a brace height of 8.5 which later stretched to 8 and1/4. This is measuring from the string to the locator point on the riser between the thumb and index. Is this 8 1/4 about right? I have a draw weight of 28 and I ordered a 40 pound viper. What aluminium arrow would you recommend for targets? Also, I read here somewhere -- I can't find it now -- that you made up a string for someone; that it was a fastflight, and that it performed better on the Viper than the Dacron. I don't want to be presumptious as I don't know what your business is, but if the performance on the Viper is much improved with it I would like to know and order one. Maybe that one you made was just for a friend. If it was just tell me and we'll forget it. Sorry this is so long. Anyway, thanks. Robend
