I talked with our resident fita guy in our club and he has been using crown by brownell for his end loops because it is thinner than the halo, he shoots a continuous loop string.
He is still using Halo as his center serving, and doesn't have any problems with slippage.
He says the crown reminds him of BCY's #4 or the braided poly serving material. Next time I see him I will take a look at the crown.

"Crown" is available in .018", .022" and .026" diameter. "Halo" is available in .019" & .024" diameter.

Speaking of string materials, I tried an 8125 string on my target recurve yesterday. I usually shoot a 14 strand Dynaflite 97 string, and the new string had 16 strands of 8125.
My bow is pretty quiet anyway, but the 8125 made it even quieter, even with a slightly lower bracing height. The shot felt softer, but still very positive. I'm not going back to Dynaflite now

My newest bow, an Adcock ACS, came equipped with a 15 strand 8125 flemish string. I'm amazed how soft it feels, almost like dacron, but with absolutely no stretch. I'm impressed with it. I wish Rob would try spinning up some in endless.
