Too much to ask at one time !!!n
First thing to do is to measure your draw length with the recurve, it will be shorter than with the compound. That will help in arrow selection.

Second thing to do is print this:n

Third is to read it.
It's geared to Olympic shooting, so it should ease the transition from the compound, as a lot of the stuff is very similar.

Something else to note is that 46lb may be a little high for someone learning the basics of recurve. You might want to consider buying or borrowing a lighter bow to train up on.
