Correction and report: Went over the score card and the Field round was a 406, not a 416 (math was never my strong suit - lol). Animal score was correct. Very windy the second day and worst of all, not a steady wind but gusting. Hard to predict or allow for. Everyone's scores suffered because of it. I only shot a 391 which is below my stated goal for 28 targets of 400. The frustration goes on. (smile)

Bringing this one back. (smile)
I started this thread because I was frustrated over my lack of progress. I was in a rut and actually going down hill performance wise. Read on another board where some one said rebuilding form sometimes take you back before you can go forward. Maybe that was the case here. I shot a FITA 900 round late in June and came within one point of my personal best of 705. That's for 30 arrows at each distance of 60, 50 & 40 meters at the 122 cm target.
I put together a new bow (different limbs on an old riser) for field to get a little lighter poundage for my aging shoulder. Lighter draw weight (39#) necessitated different arrows so the whole re-tuning and sighting in (finding my points of aim) process has been occupying me for a week or more. Finally went out and shot the field course. 28 target Field round netted a 404. Not setting the barebow world on fire but maybe the new/improved form stuff is finally paying off.
LOL - you'd think I'd be more patient as I get older, not the other way around.
