How many of you shoot this way.I recently sat through a Mike Fedora shooting clinic.Mike recomended holding your chin to your shoulder with an open stance.Never tried this before but it seems like it would stop the bobble head effect.This would add a more solid rear sight effect.

i couldn't consistently shoot with that style of form and expect to hit the broad side of a barn.

Hurts when I try it.Mike has a short neck,possibly why it works for him.

I experimented with that once, but it required me to raise my shoulder quite a bit. I had great results initially, but after a while lost consistency...probably from the misalignment of bones.

The first time I saw this method was the Denny Sturgis Jr. segment in the video "How to Shoot Instinctively Better than Ever - Volume I" by Dan Bertalan. In the more recent "Masters of the Bare Bow" video series, Denny Sturgis Jr. had stopped putting his chin to his shoulder. I think his association with Rod Jenkins might've influenced his shooting style. Maybe he'll see this thread and give us the scoop. Clint

Very interesting! I just googled for video of this technique but with no luck. Can you give me a pointer to a photo or video?
